In 1988 Rick and Diane Bradford made a bold life decision to start a business in a then emerging field of Underground Storage Tank Testing. Advanced Tank Testing Services was the product of that life-changing decision.
Starting out in a small pickup truck, Rick spent a lot of time on the road, conducting Overfill Testing wherever it was needed, putting in long hours and lots of miles.
By 1994, Advanced had become incorporated, test methods and the petroleum industry were changing. Federal and State regulations on Underground Storage tanks were changing quickly.
In 1996, Rick hired his first full-time employee as customers increased due to the reputation Rick and Diane had made for their Business.
Regulations increased, Test methods changed, and Advanced Tank Testing grew to meet the ever increasing demands of the industry. This had become necessary to provide the excellent customer service that their customers had grown to expect.
Throughout the growth of the business, it has stayed firmly rooted in Western Massachusetts, though the area the covered by Advanced now includes MA, CT, ME, NH, VT and parts of NY. Advanced has grown to have some of the most experienced and capable technicians, inspectors and office personnel in New England.
In March of 2016, 16 year employee Joseph Humel bought Advanced Tank Testing Service from the Bradfords, a great opportunity for both parties, and Joe is operating the business with in the same pride and dedication that has made it the success that it is.
